First and foremost, I would like to say thank you for viewing my site and taking an interest in the who is Shawna Strahl; who will try her best in helping you on your journey to a healthier and pain free you!
A thought occurred to me about a decade ago (seems only like yesterday) to investigate a career in massage therapy. After lots of research about the colleges in Nova Scotia (where I was raised) I was given an opportunity to visit beautiful British Columbia. During that time I learned about the college, Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (OVCMT) in Vernon, BC. They had offered the highest level of education in North America for massage therapy at a 3 year diploma program.
A year went by and I had taken my leave of Nova Scotia and moved out west. This was the best decision I've ever made! My world of knowledge into the human body expanded and my hands on skills to learn my profession excelled over the course of those 3 years of hard studying! I graduated in June 2009 then proceeded in the fall time, to take the provincial board exams through the College of Massage Therapy of British Columbia (CMTBC), who regulates the practice of Registered Massage Therapy in BC.
In October 2009, I became an official Registered Massage Therapist!
Over the years, I have gained mountains of information and hands on experience that I incorporate daily into my massage practice using a variety of assessment and treatment techniques to assist in a client's treatment for their individual needs.

I moved to Kamloops in the springtime of 2010 and had been practicing my massage therapy at a local clinic. It gave me a great opportunity to thrive in Kamloops and have lots of wonderful adventures as I'm a person that loves to be outside with my dogs.
I have now renovated a portion of my home so that you may feel safe and comfortable coming to the clinic. Working from my home I will be able to offer more flexible hours, online booking, direct billing and confirmation reminders to my clients.
